The session of the Board and the General Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress

The session of the Board and the General Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress was held in the premises of Ukrainian Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products (Ukraine, 08162, Kievo-svyatoshinskiy district, Chabany village, Mashinobudivnykiv str., 7) on 13 March 2013.

The session was devoted to the discussion and recording the landmark results of the preparation of the Congress Programs and Projects in order to process the reports for Apimondia Executive Board.

The Heads of the Companies cooperating with the Organizing Committee in terms of the Congress preparation, namely of the IEC, Alpaka, Stand Point, Terra Incognita, Scherp-Expo, Worldservice Group, Qubstudio, Chumakway.

The specialists of the Apicultural Academic Department named after Nestervodsky V.A. of the Education and Research Institute of Animal Science and Water Bioresources Mr. O. Losev and Mr. I. Golovetski were present at the session.

During the session the following issues were discussed:

• Current stage of the preparation of the Congress Scientific Program, the subsequent review of the abstracts, the creation of the Scientific Program, the key speakers, the preparation of the Book of the Scientific Reports Abstracts of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress.

• Information on the stage of the preparation of all the Programs and Projects, namely, the Exhibition ApiExpo 2013, the World Beekeeping Awards, the Social Projects, the Cultural Projects, the Tourist Program, etc. Information on providing the logistics, exhibition, hotel and other services to the Congress participants. Information on the National Hall establishment, the preparation of the respective printed materials for the Congress.

All the issues brought before the Board and the General Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress were discussed at the session and recorded in the Protocol and the Decision.

The preparation of the Congress Scientific Program was reported to be held in compliance with the schedule, the receipt of the scientists’ abstracts was reported to be executed, and abstracts were reported to be reviewed by the Heads of the Scientific Commissions of both Ukraine and of Apimondia in the Decision of the session of the Board and the General Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress dated 13 March 2013. The materials of the Book of the Scientific Reports Abstracts of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress are being prepared for print.

The Decision of the session of the Board and the General Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress is proposed to be sent for coordination of the Scientific Issues Coordinator of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress PhD Sergiy Melnychuk, the President of Apimondia Gilles Ratia and Apimondia Executive Board in terms of the organization of the scientific event to be conducted by the specialists of the Apicultural Academic Department named after Nestervodsky V.A. of the Education and Research Institute of Animal Science and Water Bioresources at the Congress.

The provision of the hotel and tourist services for the delegates of the Congress was noted in the Decision of the session of the Board and the General Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress. All the necessary measures were taken in order to organize International Exhibition ApiExpo 2013. The team works on involving the Exponents of the ApiExpo 2013. The logistic services provision for the Exponents is organized.

The company “PromFinInvest” organizes the National Ukrainian Hall within the framework of Apixpo 2013 in compliance of the decision of the Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The regional divisions of the NGO “Brotherhood of Ukrainian Beekeepers” the NGO “Luhansk Region Beekeepers’ Association”, the NGO “Union of Crimea Beekeepers”, the NGO “Association of the Beekeepers and Apitherapists of Crimea” and the separate beekeepers and entrepreneurs of beekeeping industry take part in preparation of the Tourist, Social and Cultural Programs.

The Organizing Committee receives numerous exhibits and materials from the participants of the World’s Beekeeping Awards. The Organizing Committee prepares a range of information and advertising materials of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress.
