Central Union of Turkish Beekeepers (TAB) bids for Apimondia Congress 2017 holding

The President of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress Mrs. Tetyana Vasylkivska held the meeting with the President of the Central Union of Turkish Beekeepers (TAB) Mr. Bahri Yilmaz last week.

The Turkish delegation headed by Mr. Bahri Yilmaz came to Kyiv with a view to arrange the organization process of TAB participation in the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress.

The Turkish delegates participating in the meeting were as follows: the General Manager of the company TeamCon Mr. Ünal Bilgin, the leaders of the local Turkish beekeeper’s associations, the heads of the beekeeping products and beekeeping equipment producers and the representative of the Turkish tourist organization.

The Organizing Committee invited the heads and the top managers of the Organizing Committee’s key Partners to join the meeting. They were as follows: the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) General Director Mr. Tkachenko Anatoliy, who is also a Member of the Organizing Committee, the IEC General Manager Mr. Vladislav Kudley, the Exhibition company “Stand Point” director Mr. Ostafiev Sergiy, the Exhibition company “Alpaca” Top manager Mrs. Kolpakova Svitlana, the Tourist company “Terra Incognita“ director Mr. Pidmogylny Sergiy, who is also a Member of the Organizing Committee, “Terra Incognita“ Top manager Ms. Obrotska Nadia, the “WorldService Group” Agency director Mr. Dzuenko Igor, and the logistics company “Scherp-Expo” Top manager Mr. Bilan Dmytro.

The Organizing Committee’s representatives were as follows: Technical Coordinator of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress Mr. Anatoly Kharkovenko, managers of the Organizing Committee Ms. Katerine Idiatrova and Ms. Anastasia Voytehina.

The joint meeting in the hotel “Rus” Conference hall provided an opportunity to the Turkish delegates to take a closer look at the activities and capabilities of the companies operating within the framework of the Apimondia Congress 2013 project, to communicate directly and personally to the respective specialists engaged in the process, to ask questions and to receive answers. The negotiations held face to face with the aforementioned companies’ representatives provided a possibility to coordinate the further mutual actions and to demonstrate the professionalism level of Ukrainian specialists that are engage in the Congress organization.

The International Exhibition Center visited by the members of the meeting impressed Turkish specialists with its dimensions and well-organized work. They could examine the place of the future stand of the Central Union of Turkish Beekeepers, the infrastructure and the number of conference halls.

The logistic services provided to the Turkish companies in terms of importing-exporting to Ukraine the products for ApiExpo 2013 exhibition use, the hotel services and the tourist services for the Turkish beekeeping specialists, which are going to visit the Congress, and other important questions were negotiated upon during the meeting.

The General Manager of the TeamCon company Mr. Ünal Bilgin announced that the company is preparing the program of Turkish beekeepers and companies participation in the Congress to be held in Kyiv autumn 2013. The Central Union of Turkish Beekeepers is going to struggle for the right to conduct Apimondia Congress in 2017.

The President of the XXXXIII International Apicultural Congress Mrs. Tetyana Vasylkivska noted the great activity of the Turkish scientists sending the abstracts to the Organizing Committee with a view to participate in the Scientific Programs to be held during the Congress. Mrs. Tetyana Vasylkivska proposed Turkish colleagues to actively participate in the World Beekeeping Awards and to ensure that greater amount of the Turkish apicultural specialists become the Apimondia Congress 2013 participants and delegates.

It was decided to solve promptly and effectively all the urgent and current issues related to the organization of Turkish specialists participation in different Congress Programs.
