Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of 110th anniversary of the founding in 1992 of the “Practical Beekeeping School” by Oleksiy H. Andriyashev from the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress and the All-Ukrainian NGO “Brotherhood of Ukrainian Beekeepers”.
Your college has come a long historical way since founding of the practical school of beekeeping by the “highest command of the Emperor”, purposeful and hard work of the members of the South-Russian beekeeping institution led by OleksiyAndriyashevin June 17, 1902. Since 1909, it has become the “Boyarka practical school of beekeeping, gardening and horticulture named after O.Andriyashev”. And since 1918 — Boyarka professional beekeeping school named after P.I. Prokopovych. Training of beekeepers was held at the educational institution until 1952. Since 2005, the educational institution has been providing vocational — technical training courses for beekeepers as the Boyarka College of Ecology and Natural Resources. Today we can confidently say that the Boyarka practical school of beekeeping has been successfully renewed and nowadays successfully prepares qualified beekeepers forwork at apiaries.
Your educational institution can be proud of such prominent historical figures in the field of beekeeping as OleksiyAndriyashev, VasylVashchenko, VsevolodShymanovskyi, OleksandrMistergaze, VasylNestervodskyi. These worked at the educational institution and gave many years of their lives to beekeeping, educational and scientific work.
Nowadays the worthy work of great scientists and practitioners is continued at the college by qualified professionals led by a Candidate of agricultural sciences, Head of the department of practical training and employment assistanceMykola V. Voynalovych. The college has obtained a license for the training of qualified beekeepers. The college has an educational — research apiary, where under the guidance of the master of production instruction Vasyl G. Nosatyuk, students acquire practical skills in working with bees. After the courses and according to the results of theState qualifying exam, graduates receive a certificate of conferment a working profession of a “Beekeeper”.
To get to know a bee, to learn beekeeping, to love nature and worry about its saving are the main tasks of the beekeeping education at the college.
