1961 - graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Department of Zootechnology

1974 - defended his thesis “Peculiarities of flight-pollinating and signaling activity of certain races of honey bees in the greenhouse conditions"

1999 - became a corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Zootechnology

Key projects in beekeeping:

He is a well-known scientist in the field of beekeeping. His theoretical and practical researches cover the following fields: bee pedigree beekeeping, breeding, genetics and biotechnology, apitherapy. A non-waste technology of keeping bees in the greenhouse conditions developed by him is unique in its solution. For the first time in the world practice, limiting the reproductive ability of queen bees increased greatly the age of the worker bees and ensured the effective pollination of greenhouse cultures.

Three theses were defended under his supervision

Mid 1980's – Founder of the National Museum of Ukrainian Beekeeping

1997 - Founder of the annual holiday “Beekeeper’s Day”

2000 – the Law of Ukraine "On beekeeping" – developer

2000-2007 - National quality standards of beekeeping products - developer
