Successful cooperation with state authorities of Ukraine

The President of the Organizing Committee of the ХХХХІІІ International Apimondia Congress Vasylkivska Tetyana at numerous beekeeping events emphasizes the fact that the organization and holding the international event such as XXXXIII International Congress Apimondia is a matter of prestige of Ukraine. It is an opportunity to attract international investors in the Ukrainian beekeeping. This is a significant increase of the international community’s interest in Ukraine - and not only beekeepers.

That is why the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress tries to attract all possible resources and support. The state in this process plays an important role, because Apimondia Congress is a world-class event, during which leading experts and specialists, researchers and representatives of various international and national beekeeping organizations and institutions, equipment manufacturers, manufacturers of various products, investors, large exporters and importers, ordinary beekeepers from more than 120 countries will visit Ukraine.

This event will contribute not only to the national beekeeping development - it will help establish many important international relations and stimulate the agricultural sector and the economy as a whole.

In this context, the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress carrying out active work with the Administration of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environment and natural Resources of Ukraine during 2011 and 2012 years. 

Meetings and consultations were conducted with representatives of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, officials of ministries and agencies of Ukraine and the corresponding appeals, materials on the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress were submitted to government agencies. The Organizing Committee sent an official letter from the President of Apimondia Gilles Ratia to the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych.

The Results of cooperation between the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress and public institutions in 2011 were:

• On June 6, 2011 the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych signed the order N 188/2011-rp “On supporting of the International Congress Apimondia by the President of Ukraine” in order to promote the development of domestic beekeeping, to strengthen the image of Ukraine in the world and consolidate the international affairs, to stimulate development of the agricultural sector;


• On July 14, 2011 a Protocol of Intentions between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress and the Mutual Cooperation Program of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress were signed;


• July 14, 2011. Presentation of the Official Letter of Support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on official support of the holding the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress in Ukraine (Kyiv) in September – October 2013. The Official Letter of Support was presented by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Sen Oleksandr Vasylyovych to the President the International Federation of Beekeeping Associations Apimondia Gilles Ratia. 

In May 2012, the President of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress, the President of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress Vasylkivska Tetyana appealed to the First Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine, President's Representative in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Iryna Mykhaylivna Akimova with a request of  "cooperation of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine with the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Congress Apimondia in terms of a program of the International Congress Apimondia, namely the International Exhibition ApiEkspo  - 2013 Program. It deals primarily with the inclusion of the Ukrainian National Pavilion in the exposition of the International Exhibition ApiEkspo - 2013. Establishment of the Ukrainian National Pavilion at the International Exhibition ApiEkspo - 2013 during the International Congress XXXXIII Apimondia requires the involvement of the state budget of Ukraine.

This National Exposition of the Ukrainian beekeeping industry would demonstrate the achievements of powerful beekeeping community of the country, businesses and commercial beekeeping structures, laboratories, scientific and educational institutions of the country, medical and health apitherapeutic institutions of Ukraine.

Presentation of the Ukrainian National Pavilion at the World Beekeeping Congress in our country is an event that will remain in the arsenal of beekeeping community forever as evidence of the state concern for worthy representation of world achievements of Ukrainian beekeepers, as evidence of the state’s interest in development of the Ukrainian agriculture complex extremely necessary for life. For the world beekeeping community the Ukrainian National Pavilion will be a source of information about Ukraine, its natural resources and hard work of the Ukrainian peasant - the beekeeper. ( Full text)

Similar appeals were sent to the Prime-Minister of Ukraine Azarov Mykola Yanovych, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Minister of Health of Ukraine Bogatyryova Rayisa Vasylivna, the Minister of Ecology and Natural resources of Ukraine Stavytsky Eduard Anatoliyovych.

Upon the receipt of the above appeals of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress a number of mutual appointments, meetings, and consultations were held.

The Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress received as a result of work in terms of the appeals mentioned above the following letters:

1. Letter from the Administration of the President of Ukraine from 09.08.2012 № 03-01/2144 signed by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Akimova I.M.

Letter from the First Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine Akimova I.M. in response to T. Vasylkivska’s appeal regarding the inclusion of the Ukrainian National Pavilion in the exposition of the International Exhibition ApiEkspo – 2013 to be held in the framework of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress. The appeal is submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

2. Letter from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine from 30.07.2012 № 37-14-2-15/13638 signed by the Director of Livestock DepartmentHetya A.A.

Letter in response to T. Vasylkivska’s appeal to the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Prysyazhnyuk M.V. regarding the inclusion of the Ukrainian National Pavilion in the exposition of the International Exhibition ApiEkspo – 2013 to be held in the framework of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine acknowledged that budget proposals for funding the establishment of the Ukrainian National Pavilion at the International Exhibition ApiEkspo 2013 during the International Congress XXXXIII Apimondia will be submitted within the state budget 2013 of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

3. Letter from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (068705) signed by the First Deputy Minister Maksiuta A.A.

Letter in response to T. Vasylkivska’s appeal to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Poroshenko P.O. regarding the inclusion of the Ukrainian National Pavilion in the exposition of the International Exhibition ApiEkspo – 2013 to be held in the framework of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine supports the  Congress and, if necessary, will provide all necessary informational support to attract foreign partners to participate in the event.

4. Letter from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine from 23.08.2012 № 16866/08/10-12 signed by the Deputy Minister - Chief of Staff Mormul D.D.

Letter in response to T. Vasylkivska’s appeal to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Stavytsky E.A. regarding the inclusion of the Ukrainian National Pavilion in the exposition of the International Exhibition ApiEkspo – 2013 to be held in the framework of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine believes that the organization of the XXXXIII International Congress Apimondia will be an impetus for the development ofclass="span3"> Ukrainian beekeeping and will provide a platform for exchanging experience and new and new knowledge in this area, will help preserve agricultural biodiversity which is, among other things, one of the areas of work of the Convention on Biological Diversity. The Ministry supports the Congress and can take part in the organization of the Ukrainian National Pavilion.

5. Letter from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (047,794) to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine signed by the Deputy Minister - Chief of Staff PavlenkoV.P.

Letter sent in response to a letter from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 15.08.2012 № 10362/0/2-12 to a letter from the Administration of the President of Ukraine of 09.08.2012 № 03/01-2143 on the appeal of the All-Ukrainian NGO "Brotherhood of Ukrainian beekeepers" regarding the International exhibition ApiEkspo - 2013 in Kiev. It is proposed to study the inclusion of the International Exhibition ApiEkspo - 2013 in the list of exhibitions and fairs to be held in Ukraine in 2013, which are granted the national and international status.
