Blessing of His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) – the Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church

Blessing of  His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) – the Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church is the evidence of success in the noble cause for the organizers of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress for the welfare of Ukrainian beekeeping, for the welfare of prosperity of Ukraine!

The President of the Organizing Committee of the XXXXIII International Apimondia Congress Tetyana Y. Vasylkivska mention the extraordinary value of the Blessing of His Beatitude Sviatoslav (Shevchuk) for the Organizing Committee and beekeepers of the NGO “Brotherhood of Beekeepers of Ukraine”, for their patriotic activities in the name of Ukraine.

Spirituality is the human inner world, the relationship between man and religion.

Spirituality distinguishes and belongs only to human beings. The human activity is spiritual and the state of humanity rises to a higher degree by its own efforts.

V.A. Suhomlynskyi, an outstanding teacher, wrote: “Spiritual human life is a development and formation of the moral, intellectual and aesthetic needs and interests during the activity. The source of the human inner world is the material world, the objective reality and especially such important fields, as public life social and moral experience. ”

In general, spiritually rich man is considered to be a man living in harmony with the world, having spiritual values, that is, the qualities and traits, attitudes existing for every individual as an ideal.

However, speaking about our society and values today, it should be said that it is experiencing a moral crisis caused by the loss of the Christian values, orientation to individualism, pragmatism and consumerism in personal and public life.

We live in a modern world of rapid development of science and technology, achievements in space exploration, mysteries revelation of phenomena. All these are the striking proof of human thought convergence, endless possibilities of human in discovering the world.

Against this background, human spirituality and moral relationships in modern world, estrangement, rudeness, inability and unwillingness to understand each other, to show respect, tolerance, compassion, mercy, justice are seem to be unappealing, strange and even frightening. These are the evidence of morality and humanity deficit. Such features as anger, selfishness, cynicism, cruelty, neglect and a lack of self-esteem destroy human relationships bringing the solving of individual and social problems to bay.

It is recognized that spirituality and morality are the main things constituting the foundation of the human personality. It is the key to a harmonious development of personality potential, a guarantee that the results of the activities really serve in the name of the person as the supreme value.

An intelligent person not only understands the greatness of the Creator, but also is able to love people, to do good, enjoy the beauty, respect elders, be polite, know the price of life and always seeks to enrich her inner world.

Because spirituality is the human inner world, the relationship between man and religion

The activities of the organization “Brotherhood of Beekeepers of Ukraine” is based on the principles of morality.

During the last 7 years of public activities on territory of Ukraine and in the world, the NGO has its own slogan “Let us learn the bees’ unity!” for the spiritual unity of all the brothers. It will provide everyone with the opportunity to realize that we can achieve positive changes in the development of beekeeping in the Ukraine only in the spiritual harmony of every beekeeper and his attitude to the general affairs of the community.

Owing to the long titanic work of activists of the All-Ukrainian nongovernmental organization “Brotherhood of beekeepers of Ukraine”, the largest world beekeeping event will be held in Ukraine in autumn 2013. This international beekeeping Congress will glorify Ukraine as the honeyland, will give a new significant boost to the development of the Ukrainian beekeeping, and will create strong ties with the beekeeping elite of the world.

The grand event for Ukraine, for Ukrainian beekeepers has to become a spirituality strengthening, relations improvement in beekeeping environment, higher level of self-esteem for the beekeepers and the integration into civil society for the common good — the spiritual, moral, and economic.
