Dear Mr Jorgensen,

I am honored to address you on behalf of the Government of Ukraine with the guarantees of comprehensive support of organization and holding the XXXXIII Congress of the International Federation of Beekeepers’ Associations “Apimondia” in 2013.

Beekeeping plays an important role in Ukrainian agriculture not only as a fast-growing branch, but also as an integrating component, which bounds stock raising and crop production sectors as a high-technology branch, which is a source of raw materials for pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, and also as an indicator of key ecological threats. State support of beekeeping includes not only direct help to beekeepers, but also development of scientific infrastructure of the branch, systematic breeding work with Ukrainian bee breeds, contribution to the development of international relations.

Thus, we understand the importance of such international event as the Apimondia Congress not only for the development of Ukrainian beekeeping, but for strengthening the international relations and Ukrainian economy as a whole.

Taking the above stated facts into consideration, the corresponding executive authorities will get the needed instructions concerning ensuring the holding of this important international event at the highest level.

I will be glad to welcome you and Apimondia commission members to our country.
