On July 13, 2011 the President of Apimondia Gilles Ratia accompanied by members of the Organizing Committee of the ХХХХІІІ International Apimondia Congress visited several beekeeping farms located in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

On July 14, 2011 a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the ХХХХІІІ International Apimondia Congress and an official meeting at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine were held during the visit of the President of Apimondia Gilles Ratia.

On July 15, 2011 a master class “Queen Bee Breeding in the XXI century. World experience” dedicated to the most actual problems of bee breeding, the most interesting innovations and developments in the world beekeeping was held as part of the visit of the President of Apimondia Gilles Ratia.
