Who will judge the World Beekeeping Awards?

In 2013 a panel of distinguished experts and professionals from across the apiculture sector will be judging the entries.

Truly international jury will consist of high-profile beekeeping industry professionals including beekeeping companies’ executives, beekeeping practitioners and professional judges – representatives of all parts of the world (Asia, Americas, Africa, Europe and Oceania).

The judges will have the knowledge and long term experience to assess each entry presented at the Contest according to judging procedure.

What do the judges look for?

The aim of the World Beekeeping Awards is to recognise and promote excellence.

The judges will not be looking for bland, reassuring statements, but for examples of excellent preparing of the exhibits to achieve the most strict and realy international judging criteria, properly profiled in the submission and supported with correct materials - analitical reports, descriptions of the exhibit, etc.

How will the entries be judged?

The judges will study all the submissions received, looking for examples of an exceptional work.

Exhibits presented to the judges will be identified by numbers only and will be devoid of any distinctive signs.

The Judges will estimate every exhibit anonymously and individually, without any exchanges according to the the general procedure of judging process. For each exhibit the judges will fill in a sampling form and will allocate a score out of 20. Each category of classes will have its own distinct judging criteria. The winners will be selected by calculation of these scores.

The decisions of the Judges over every instance shall be final, binding and unchallengeable.

The judges for this year Word Beekeeping Awards will be revealed shortly!
